Discover Shanghai!
Walking tours for everyone?
The walks are easy and are suitable for young and old. Shanghai is flat but the streets may be a bit slippery when it rains. Easy (walking) shoes or good sandals are advised. Anyone can join the tours, including your kids; there is much to see and experience!
Note: the pavements in Shanghai tend to be crowded, not only with pedestrians but also with bicycles and scooters. Be careful! It is not always possible to escape the crowds in this big city. Traffic is hectic and absolutely crazy. Driving etiquette in Shanghai is quite something else! Crossing the street maybe hazardous, even if you are crossing at the green light. During our walk, we will tell you more about it.
Food and drinks
The walks start at 09.30 or 10.00 a.m. At the end of the tour we will stop for lunch or have a tea/coffee break. There is plenty of choice, also Western food. The cost of food and drinks are not included in the tour.
Sometimes it is advisable to take drinks with you (especially in hot weather) but in Shanghai you can find drinks and / or food for sale at every street corner.
Meeting point
Most walks start in the center of Shanghai (except for the Qibao tour). After your inquiry we will send you the exact location of the meeting point in both Chinese and English. The meeting points are easily accessible by subway or taxi.
